How much do crew shirts with a logo cost?
Short answer: a heavyweight cotton tee with a one-color logo on the front and your company name on the back is $15.22 each at 48 pieces, plus $40 in screens. A polo with an embroidered logo is $19.55 each at 24. Here is where every number comes from and what moves it.
The price is the blank plus the decoration
Battle Born Clothing lists both parts. The blank is the shirt at our published price: supplier cost times two when the cost is under $10, cost plus 35% when it is $10 or more. The decoration is a per-piece rate that depends on the method and the quantity. One-time fees (screens, digitizing) are listed separately so you can see what a reorder costs.
Screen-printed crew tees
| Job | Blank | All-in each | One-time | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-color front, light shirt | $6.04 | $4.34 | $10.38 | $20 |
| 1-color front, dark shirt | $6.04 | $4.59 | $10.63 | $20 |
| 1-color front + 1-color back, light shirt | $6.04 | $8.68 | $14.72 | $40 |
| 1-color front + 1-color back, dark shirt | $6.04 | $9.18 | $15.22 | $40 |
The $0.25 difference between light and dark is the flash: on a dark shirt we print a white underbase and flash-cure it so the top color is bright. More colors add a screen each ($20) and a per-piece rate quoted for the job. Quantities other than 48 are quoted per job; the rate drops at every 24-piece break.

Four worked totals
- 48 black PC61 tees, front and back print: 48 x $15.22 = $730.56 + $40 screens = $770.56 ($16.05 per shirt with setup).
- 24 K500 polos, embroidered: 24 x $19.55 = $469.20 + $18.99 digitizing = $488.19.
- 144 PC61 tees, embroidered left chest: 144 x $10.04 = $1,445.76 + $18.99 = $1,464.75.
- 48 CS410 tactical polos, embroidered: 48 x (quoted blank + $5.50) + $18.99 digitizing; the blank is quoted per job.
What is not in those numbers
- 2XL and larger: supplier upcharge, $1 to $7 by size on most styles.
- Names and titles: quoted per job. See name personalization.
- Hi-vis, Carhartt, Red Kap, Nike, OGIO: quoted per job with brand MAP respected. The decoration rate is still the published one.
- Shipping: quoted with the order. We ship nationwide from Yerington, NV.
- Rush: quoted per job. Standard is 28 days from proof approval.
What moves the price most
- Quantity. Every 24 pieces is a break. Going from 24 to 48 embroidered tees saves $0.50 a shirt; going from 47 to 48 is the cheapest way to save money on an order.
- Shirt choice. A $6.04 PC61 and a $13.55 K500 get the same $5.50 embroidery at 48. The blank is most of the difference between a $11.54 tee and a $19.05 polo.
- Locations. Each print location is its own rate and its own screen. Front only is $10.63 at 48 on a dark PC61; front and back is $15.22.
- Colors. Every extra ink color is another screen and more time on press. One-color logos are the cheapest; two colors are common; four-color process is rare for crew shirts and usually better as DTF.
- Dark vs light shirt. $0.25 per location for the flash on darks.
- Extended sizes. 2XL+ carries a supplier upcharge; decoration does not change.
Cheap ways to spend less
- Round the order up to the next 24-piece break and keep the extras for new hires.
- Put the phone number in the back print instead of a second front color.
- Pick a light shirt color if the brand allows it; it drops the flash.
- Reorder embroidered styles in any quantity; batch screen-printed tees twice a year so the screens are paid for by 48 shirts, not 12.
How to get the real number for your crew
Send the logo, the quantity, the style and the sizes through the quote form. We price it from the schedule above, usually the same business day, and send a digital proof before anything is printed. If it is our error, the redo is free.
Questions
Is there a minimum order?
No hard minimum. Screen print makes sense at 48 and up because the screens are a fixed cost. Embroidery has no minimum.
Does the price include the shirt?
Yes. Every all-in number on this site is blank plus decoration. One-time fees are listed separately.
Do reorders cost less?
Reorders skip digitizing. Screens are rebuilt at $20 each. The per-piece rate is based on the reorder quantity.
